Company History

Selecta Specialist Doors are a division of Selecta Systems Ltd, based in Great Barr, Birmingham where we have been located since 1984. Starting out in Salisbury in 1981, Selecta Window Systems Ltd as it was known grew from strength to strength over time. Importing uPVC Window and Door Profiles and distributing to the ever growing uPVC Window and Door Manufacturers setting up in the UK, was predominantly the core business in the early years. Window and door ancillaries and hardware soon followed with Selecta firmly establishing ourselves within the market. By 1995 a purpose built, 9 Acre state-of-the-art extrusion and distribution complex was built, thus allowing Selecta to extrude our own window and door profiles to the growing customer base. Selecta were seen as experts at helping customers set up new window and door manufacturing businesses, which to this day we are still specialists within this area. The popular Advance 70 Window and Door Profile System arrived in 2006 and still remains as one of the most thermally efficient profile systems on the market. Selecta Specialist Doors was born in 2009, where a range of specialist doors were designed to support fabricators who wanted to focus on manufacturing their core products. A Ready-2-Fit Range of Composite, Bi-fold and Patio Doors were made available to customers whom preferred not to manufacture.
